Welcome Ursula! I really enjoyed reading your bio. This line stood out the most:

“An intellectual man is a man who says simple things in a complicated way, an artist says complicated things in a simple way.”

Unfortunately, though, many "academic" artists say simple things more complicated than intellectuals - and not for good reasons! I feel they try too hard to sound sophisticated for academics, instead of being themselves and painting pictures with words that are succinct. Naturally, visual artists express themselves more clearly through their craft/practice (rather than words).

Look forward to reading your future posts!
