There is a poem called “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe. I made an anthology with the poem in it, and placed a Raven on the front page, but never gave it much thought. It looked cool but was around the time when I was obsessed with the movie The Crow (featuring Brandon Lee).

There have been many stories of Raven being a messenger of some sort. In the Christian-Judeo communities, it was labelled “ill-fated” for bringing messages or omens of impending death. However, in the Bible (Genesis, Chapter 8: 6-13 of the Old Testament), Noah sends out two birds (one being a Raven) to scout the Earth for dry land. Although it didn’t return, it certainly didn’t bring back bad news. In Greek mythology, the Raven was turned black for bringing a God bad news!

Universal Energy
March 30, 2012One must accept and understand that each and every person on this planet has the capacity to deliver unto themselves and those around them great goodness or great evil. Good or evil people recognizes this quality in themselves and make a conscious decision to move in one direction or the other. A pathfinder or a Seeker of the Way understands the capacity for duality within themselves. The Universe itself contains duality and we must understand that there exists a dark side and a light side to Universal Energy.
