The Raven – Death (part 4)

July 3, 2011

There is a poem called “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe. I made an anthology with the poem in it, and placed a Raven on the front page, but never gave it much thought. It looked cool but was around the time when I was obsessed with the movie The Crow (featuring Brandon Lee).

The Raven – A Messenger (part 3)

July 1, 2011

There have been many stories of Raven being a messenger of some sort. In the Christian-Judeo communities, it was labelled “ill-fated” for bringing messages or omens of impending death. However, in the Bible (Genesis, Chapter 8: 6-13 of the Old Testament), Noah sends out two birds (one being a Raven) to scout the Earth for dry land. Although it didn’t return, it certainly didn’t bring back bad news. In Greek mythology, the Raven was turned black for bringing a God bad news!

The Raven: An Introduction

June 26, 2011

The following series will focus on the magnificent Raven, which recently made itself known to me through my dreams. The Raven is a very complex character and, as a symbol, it is both revered and feared across various cultures. In my research, I have found that the Raven shares a symbiotic relationship with the Wolf and, in my opinion, shares common misconceptions (i.e. feared due to ‘dark’ conceptions).

Giving Your Animal Guide A Name and Spirit Names

June 10, 2011
Spirit Animals

So you’ve spent a long time searching for your animal guide, and now you have found one on a totem. Where do you go from here? Sometimes it can take a lot of effort to find that right name for your animal guide, almost as much as finding your guide in the first place.

Can Our Animal Guides Manifest Themselves In The Animals Around Us?

May 1, 2011
Animal Guides

I have a cat and the first thing the cat did is arch it’s back and hiss at Max as to say “How dare you bring this animal into MY house!” My cat, named Brat, stared at Max, hissed a little more, and then headed for the bedroom.  After a few days Brat and Max seemed to tolerate each other. After that they would actually play with each other and chase each other through the house, and it wasn’t always Max doing the chasing. Brat was an instigator himself, he would initiate the chases too.

The Seven Principles of the Way of the Warrior

October 31, 2010

I have written a few articles here at Timberwolf HQ on the number 7, its mysteries and the effect it seems to have on the human psyche. It seemed appropriate that I follow those up with the Seven Principles of the Way of the Warrior.  I do not mean a physical warrior, although this may also be true. I mean the Spiritual Warrior and Seeker of the Way.

A Prophetic Vision of the reality we are creating – Part 2

August 8, 2010

For 15 years now I have been seeing 333 everywhere. I wake at 3:33, glance at the clock at 3:33pm; see it everywhere as it bursts into my life. Although I have researched and sought answers as to its meaning; nothing satisfied my curiosity or explained the phenomena in my life till now. And, true to life, my curiosity and sense of wonder furnished me with the answer when I was ready. When I least expected it and not through effort on my part, only through the serendipity of synchronicity. Right time, right moment!
