I know I am responding to an old post here, but consider this an update.
Just this past February there was a demonstration of a supercomputer engineered and built by IBM known as "Watson". Watson appeared on the game show "Jeopardy" and competed against the two top players in the shows history. Watson demonstrated true human thinking when presented with the questions with amazing speed and accuracy. Watson didn't always get the right answer, but he did beat the two human competitors in the end. I watched the three day show and was absolutely impressed. If you didn't see the show, you can probably find it on the web.
Just a reminder, the future is already here.......now!

Hello,
I am hoping that you will be willing to help me with a request.
I am currently writing a book for sports coaches that is based upon NLP and the use of positive coaching techniques. I am doing a section on visualisation and i would be so grateful if I were granted kind permission to use a picture from your website that shows a neural network. I am more than happy to make referrance to the source of the picture and would be most grateful if you would be kind enough to let me know as soon as is convenient for you.

Kindest regards
Sue Rutson

Aurther C Clarke pointed this subject out in 2001 - 2010.....it was never the computers fault...it was a man made error!
Computers are meant to be purrfect.....they are not meant to have errors....so great thought must go into the programming or else we will allow them to be something they should not be. I for one do not like the way the military get priority on such technologies....it can only mean one thing....death and destruction....put this technology into human hands and we would be alot better off...because we would make them in an open source environment....one language...no conflicts...purrfect motion.
doing the jobs for us that we hate....automation is meant to take ourselves out of slavery...not buried in it!
