The meaning of Tranquility
A desirable state of being ~ You are consciously aware of the moment ~ You sense your mind, body and spirit ~ Relax, recharge and revitalize ~ Serenity ~ Feel reconnected with the Earth, Higher Power, Your self ~ Feelings of joy, harmony, peace and love ~ A simple concept ~ You recognize Tranquility the moment it arrives.
In our increasing materialistic world, we are driven by a seemingly insatiable desire for power and possessions. Yet in this vain striving, we wander ever further from inner peace and mental happiness. Despite our pleasant material surroundings, many people today experience dissatisfaction, fear, anxiety, and a sense of insecurity. There seems to be something lacking within our hearts. The Dalai Lama

For me, ‘Tranquility’ means the sounds of the rainforest after a storm as the water drips from the leaves in the canopy to the forest floor. The serenity of the forest is refreshed and the cool air brushes against all things against a background of water bubbling over rocks in a nearby creek bed. The smell of the freshly watered mulch under the undergrowth and the small sounds of the forest stirring back to life.
Tranquility to me is total peace of mind. Complete absence of negative emotion that makes you feel like everything is right within your world. Take that feeling you get when you feel a cool refreshing breeze – make it last all day..That to me is how it should feel.
Tranquility is the knowing of not just the peace within…but the peace that surrounds us when everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing…
Enjoying ourselves….

Tranquility to me is finding where my soul can soar and be free of the current worlds noises of rushing cars, people talking, machines running. I find my own little piece of tranquility in the timber, where I can watch the animals, listen to the birds and just enjoy what our creator has given to us.
