Australian gumleaves
Now for a change of pace. Its been a while since I did an article on the X-Factor to be found in life. This one is about what I think could be the most unusual musical instrument in the world. Now I could be wrong and you have the right to correct me, however, the instrument I’m talking about is the common Australian gum leaf.
Yes you read that correctly, the gum leaf. Obviously a highly underrated musical instrument which takes skill to play. Find out more about it here:
Is this possibly the world’s most unusual musical instrument or just one of them?

This is a very common thing it doesn’t require much skill to play as my frineds and I used to play these when we were young and at school, it is more of a novelty than an instrument, not saying that you can’t turn it into an instrument the only problem is that if you use it for too long you need another leaf, and that usually changes the sound.
I had a friend at school who could play the blade of grass. He’d take a blade of grass, stretch it (without breaking it) and blow into it. It sounded like a kazoo. It was baffling, pretty unusual for a musical instrument as well!
