I had a friend at school who could play the blade of grass. He'd take a blade of grass, stretch it (without breaking it) and blow into it. It sounded like a kazoo. It was baffling, pretty unusual for a musical instrument as well!

This is a very common thing it doesn't require much skill to play as my frineds and I used to play these when we were young and at school, it is more of a novelty than an instrument, not saying that you can't turn it into an instrument the only problem is that if you use it for too long you need another leaf, and that usually changes the sound.
