As you can no doubt tell by now, I am working my way from the base/kundalini chakra through the 6 major intersections of the 3 main nadi’s to the crown of the physical body. The next major energetic intersection is the sacral chakra, also known as the Svadhisthana chakra. The region in which this chakra is located is near the spleen in the area of the internal sexual organs of the physical body.
This chakra is oriented toward fulfilling self-gratification on a number of levels and yet connects us to the universe through these very hedonistic sensations. In addition to connecting us to the universal consciousness, this chakra also assists in connecting us to other people via the very tactile responses such as desire, movement and emotions. With this chakra fully open, we can accept our emotional energies, improving the depth of our empathic nature.
Svadhisthana chakra has the following properties associated with it.
Table of matching Universal Portals
Chakra | Sacral / Svadhisthana |
Colour | Orange, Blue, Green, Violet, Yellow and Blood-Red |
Lotus Petal Count | 6 Petals |
World | Bhuvarloka |
Element | Water |
Musical Note | Western ‘la’ |
Mother-power | Indrani |
Deity | Rudra |
Mantra | Vam |
To date, we have seen that the opening of the Muladhara and Svadhisthana chakra’s can bring us security and sensation. Both of these responses are essential in the evolution of the subtle body towards divine consciousness. Without these, the Spiritual Warrior may not find their way back from the astral plane to their physical self.
