Moving right along from the discussion on the Anahata Chakra, I will now discuss the centre of communication. This is the region of the body where the emotional and intellectual powers meet to form sounds. It is the throat chakra or alternately the Vishuddha chakra. As with all chakras, the Vishuddha chakra has its negative and positive aspects.
A person who has achieved balance and has opened Vishuddha chakra with a positive mindset can find themselves free from the gadfly aspects of the world of the senses and the monkey mind. Vishuddha chakra allows the ‘Seeker’ to communicate intellectual concepts without resorting to emotional exhortations. This communication can transcend race, creed, religion and to some extent, history. The down side of opening this chakra is that unless you are a seeker of truth, you may fall victim to ignorance and communicate poorly.
The spiritual oneness which may be effected by opening the Vishudda chakra may set the ‘Spiritual Warrior’ on a path that leads to a flowing of divine consciousness.
Vishuddha chakra is associated with the following qualities.

I have now discussed 5 of the 7 chakras and tabled their associated universal portals. One thing that I have not discussed as yet is the way in which the nadi’s and the chakras appear to interact. It should be noted that as you activate each chakra, cleanse and balance it, you may notice that you have more control over the energies of those chakras that fall below the one being activated. That’s right, there is an hierarchy to the chakras within the subtle and physical bodies.

Hmmm, control over the lower realms so to speak when you master the upper chakras. I like the idea of getting a second chance if you didn’t quite clear and activate them ‘properly’ on the first attempt. Thanks for this series.
