Most people want to activate this chakra, the third eye (brow) or Ajna chakra as they believe by doing so they will gain psychic abilities. While this may be true in some instances, if the Ajna chakra is not awakened in a properly respectful and balanced way, those same psychic gifts may well overwhelm the ‘Seeker’. The negative effects could manifest themselves as dis-ease located in the eyes and sinus regions as this chakra is located in the centre of the brow slightly above the eyebrow line.
The Ajna chakra is the last stop on the 3 major nadi’s as they climb towards the universal consciousness. The chakra lies between the Vishuddha chakra and the crown. To open and master the Ajna chakra will require introspection and self-reflection. The ‘Seeker’ must be able to see themselves and others using both physical and second sight and by achieving this you will recieve access to their universal intuition.
The third eye or Ajna chakra is associated with the following qualities.

According to some belief systems, the ‘Spiritual’ nature of this chakra, when open and balanced can provide the ‘Seeker’ with imortality within the physical body. This is achieved by halting the downward flow of universal energy and maintaining it within the Ajna chakra. To slow and eventually cease the aging process and to conquer illness, dis-ease and death has been a dream of mankind since before recorded history began.
